摘要 PURPOSE:To ensure the operation of a tachometer even in engine overrunning and misfiring by providing an ignition control part having a tachometer with an arithmetic circuit for operating time to energize a transistor for enabling the operation of the tachometer while an ignition process is being interrupted in the case of an engine speed equal to or above the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:With the operation of an internal combustion engine, an ignition signal is inputted from a detecting part 6 to an ignition control part 4 (igniter) of battery type in an ignition control device 2. And in the ignition control part 4, the waveform of the ignition signal is shaped by a waveform shaping circuit 14. Then,ignition timing is operated in an ignition timing arithmetic circuit 16 and a close cycle or a transistor energization time is concurrently operated in a close angle arithmetic circuit 18. Also, a drive circuit 20 controls an ignition coil 8 and an electric type tachometer 10, depending upon the results of each operation. In this case, when the speed of the internal combustion engine is equal to or over the predetermined value, the operation is so made as to enable the maintenance of the operation of the tachometer 10, while ignition by an ignition plug 12 is being interrupted.
