PURPOSE:To raise the operability of an excavating and transporting vehicle by bringing the rocking center of a back hoe toward front of the operator seat side. CONSTITUTION:In an excavating and transporting vehicle, the fitting position of a boom 9 in relation to a slewing base 4 is set to the range of 35-55 deg. to the center line of the vehiclular body in front of the opposite side of an operator seat 18 on the basis of the slewing shaft of the base 4. The boom 9 is also designed to rock within 75 deg. bilaterally around the fitting position of the boom without interference with the operator seat 18. The operator seat 18 can thus be made wider to facilitate operation and fine slewing operation can be made possible. The operability of the vehicle can be enhanced.
