<p>PURPOSE:To enable preservation of roast chestnut over a long period, keeping the taste, flavor, color, shape and moisture-content, etc., without generating mold and vermin, etc., by sealing roast chestnuts together with a specific mixed gas in a container made of a gas-impermeable and moisture-impermeable packaging material. CONSTITUTION:Roast chestnuts are sealed and preserved in a container made of a gas-impermeable and moisture-impermeable packaging material (e.g. a film produced by depositing a metal coil such as aluminum to a plastic film) together with a mixed gas composed of 40-70vol.%, preferably 60vol.% nitrogen gas, 10-30vol.%, preferably 20vol.% carbon dioxide gas and 10-15vol.%, preferably 10vol.% nitrous oxide gas.</p> |
