The invention concerns a gripping device using two rolling elements that turn about eccentric axles and are pressed against the goods to be transported by means of hauling ropes, in particular for transporting bundles of roofing tiles from the carriage of an inclined hoist to a tile distributor. In order to achieve a minimal hoisting height and a favourable distribution of the load between two ropes, and to enable the load to be set down at an angle on the tile distributor, a roller guide is provided above the gripping device's supporting frame.
