In the case of continuous-flow heaters, a device which is fitted to the continuous-flow heater must as a rule be adjusted in order to supply physically separated tapping points for different outlet temperatures. In order to supply hot water at different outlet temperatures from at least two tapping points which are physically separated from one another, an electrically heated continuous-flow heater has two hot-water outlets (2) and (3) which are connected to a control unit (9) via continuous-flow sensors (5) and (6) as well as a preselectable required-value transmitter (10) and a permanently set or preselectable required value transmitter (11). The inlet temperature determined via the temperature sensor (7) is compared with the hot water temperatures set on the required value transmitters (10) and (11). The temperature difference resulting from this comparison and the required heating power resulting from this comparison are passed to the power section (8) for driving the heating filament. Two hot-water outlets having different hot-water temperatures are therefore supplied independently of the continuous flow rate and the inlet temperature. The electrically heated continuous-flow heater is used for central hot-water supply in physically separated tapping points at different outlet temperatures. <IMAGE>
