PURPOSE:To scarcely accumulate dusts in a light irradiating window by protruding the window surface of a laser diode case from the surface of the case, and protruding the center of the window from the periphery. CONSTITUTION:A window 13A is secured to the opening 12 of a case 11 for a laser diode 14. The surface of the window is protruded from the surface of the case 11, and the center is protruded from the periphery. According to this configuration, dusts are scarcely adhered, and, even if adhered, automatically removed. Therefore, since a laser beam L is not shielded by the dusts, the laser diode having high reliability is obtained.
