PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity and surface potential of a photosensitive body and to reduce the residual potential by using different specified compds. as an electric charge generating material, an electric charge transferring material and a binding resin. CONSTITUTION:In the single layer type photosensitive layer of a photosensitive body, a perylene compd. (A) represented by formula I is used as an electric charge generating material, a hydrazone compd. (B) represented by formula II as an electric charge transferring material and poly(4,4'-cyclohexylidene diphenyl) carbonate as a binding resin. In the formulae, each of R<1>-R<4> is lower alkyl or lower alkoxy and R<5> is H or lower alkyl. N,N'-di(3,5-dimethylphenyl) perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxydi-imide is preferably used as the compd.
