摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an examinee from receiving adverse effect by preventing the leak current from a bio-signal processor from flowing in a living body, by connecting a bio-signal processing part and a bio-signal detecting part by an optical fiber capable of being insulated electrically perfectly. CONSTITUTION:The detection signal output from an electrode is amplified by an electrocardiographic amplifying part 21 to be modulated by a modulation part 503 and the driving transistor 505 of a light emitting diode 504 is controlled according to the modulation output and the light output proportional to the modulation output is obtained from the light emitting diode 504. This light output is sent to a light receiving part 554 performing photoelectric conversion equipped with a photoreceptor composed of a photodiode such as the PIN-PD or APD of a electrocardiograph main body 1 through the graded index type fibers each having a core diameter of 50mum for signal transmission of an optical cable 530 constituted of a plurality of optical fibers and converted to the electric signal proportional to the intensity of modulated light while the electric signal is demodulated by a demodulation part 555 to be sent to a electrocardiographic processing part 2. As mentioned above, an electrocardiograph and a relay part can be connected by only one optical fiber cable.
