PURPOSE:To always cover all areas of an interface cable length by inserting a circuit to give a loss equal to a constant cable length into the output side of a test signal generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A sending end side is composed of equivalent circuits 101-10N for compensating respective cables of respective lines in use and preliminary lines, respective B-U converting circuits 201-20N, a test signal generating circuit 301 and a circuit BON(Built Out Network) 401 to give the loss equal to the constant cable length. The circuit BON401 to give a loss is provided at the output side of the test signal generating circuit 301 and the cable equivalent area of the equivalent circuit for compensating a cable can correspond to the condition of either of the ON (condition to give a loss) and OFF (condition not to give a loss) of the BON 401. Thus, the equivalent capacity of the equivalent circuit for compensating the cable, etc., can cover all areas of the interface cable length with the multiple converting device.
