The door jamb (1) has a hinge for the door leaf, which has two parallel arms (7). A rectangular recess (4) is cut in the door jamb to receive the hinge plate (2), which is secured by a screw. When the plate is fitted in the recess, the holes (8) are aligned with holes (5) in the door leaf for reception of the arms of the hinge. The hinge can be positinally adjusted w.r.t. the edge of the door leaf and then locked in its required position by a screw (3) which is accessible through a hole (6) in the door jamb. ADVANTAGE - Improved hinge assembly.
