PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to store syntax rules characteristic to program elements which are already defined by a user and to input a program which follow the syntax rules with small man-hours by searching for the definition parts of the program elements and generating models of the program elements to be referred to according to various obtained definition parts. CONSTITUTION:If the user can not remembers the meanings of respective arguments in a procedure correctly when calling the procedure which is already inputted in a program being inputted currently, a system refers to the definition parts of the meanings of the respective arguments in the procedure at a user's request and generates a character strings showing the means of the respective arguments automatically in correct order after the model of the procedure, i.e. procedure name according to the definition parts. Therefore, the user only corrects the model upon occasion to generate a target program, so the meanings of the respective arguments in the procedure which is already inputted need not be remembers correctly and the program is accurately inputted with small man-hours.
