PURPOSE:To attain efficient developing without generating uneven density or the like in a developing device provided with a feeding toner supplying means for distributing feeding toner received from a toner feeder from one end side of a developer storing part to the other end by providing the device also a developer carrying and stirring means. CONSTITUTION:The developing device is provided with the developer carrying and stirring means 87 for carrying developer D led by a scraper 73 in the reverse direction to the carrying direction of the feeding toner supplying means 74 while stirring a feeding toner (a) fed from the means 74 with the developer D and discharging the developer D from plural developer discharge ports 80 formed along the carrying path. Consequently, the deflection of the feeding toner can be corrected by the means 74, uniform toner feeding can be attained from one end part of the developer storing part 59 to the other end part and efficient development can be attained without generating uneven density or the like.
