PURPOSE:To prevent skew of a reproduced picture and vertical fluctuation by selecting the length of a write field as an integral number of multiiple of the horizontal period and making the length of each read field equal to each other. CONSTITUTION:A write vertical address counter 32 is reset by an output pulse of a horizontal drive signal HD counter 38 and the length of one field in the unit of horizontal period H is latched in a latch circuit 39 as an integral number, it is compared with an address data of write address counters 31, 32, and when both write/read address data are coincident, read counters 41, 42 are loaded. Thus, the length of each field by the read address counter 42 is equal and an integral number of multiple of the horizontal period H, then the vertical deflection of the reproduced picture and skew are prevented.
