摘要

PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance by forming a thin ferromagnetic metallic film on a nonmagnetic base and depositing an arom. diol salt on the thin ferromagnetic metallic film. CONSTITUTION:The thin ferromagnetic metallic film is formed on the nonmagnetic base and the arom. diol salt is deposited on the thin ferromagnetic metallic film. The arom. diol salt to be used as a rust inhibitor is a compd. prepd. by neutralizing an arom. cyclic diol with a base and is expressed by formula I. Formation of rust on the surface of the thin ferromagnetic metallic film which is a magnetic layer is thereby prevented even when the medium is subjected to a high temp. or high humidity. The deterioration in the magnetic characteristics such as coercive force and quantity of saturation magnetization with age is decreased as well.
