PURPOSE:To discriminate a type and an amount of food while continuing a heating operation and realize the amount of food with a small number of heating menu selection keys by a method wherein an atmospheric sensor for detecting a concentration of water vapor and a weight sensor for detecting a weight of food are used. CONSTITUTION:A heating instruction inputted through an automatic heating and cooking selection key 4 is interpreted at a control part 5. The control part 5 may measure a weight of a heated item 7 with a weight sensor 10, transmit the weight information back to the control part 5 through a sensing circuit 15, calculate and set a time based on this weight value. In addition, the control part 5 may supervise the state of water vapor or gas outputted from a heated item 7 through an atmosphere sensor 12 and judge how the heated item is heated on the basis of a signal transmitted through the sensing circuit 15. In addition, the control part 5 may control an electrical supplying for a magnetron 9 or a heater 17 acting as a heating source through a driver circuit 8 and perform a changing-over of the heating means for continuous heating or intermittent heating.
