The ready-to-fit, plate-shaped heating element (1), which can be laid by a do it yourself method, consists of a plastic plate with a large number of parallel through-flow channels which are separated from one another by partitions. Constructed on the end faces of the plate-shaped heating element (1) are distributor chambers (6) which are provided for connection to the feed and return of a heating system. For this purpose, connecting parts (10) are in each case welded by means of a connecting piece in a sealing and overlapping fashion to the flat sides (4) of the plate-shaped heating element (1). The connecting parts (10) are situated virtually in one plane with the plate-shaped heating element (1). A number of through-flow channels closed at one end form a pressure equalizing chamber integrated into the plate-shaped heating element (1). On its underside, the plate-shaped heating element (1) is provided with a thermally insulating foamed plastic layer (8). <IMAGE> |
