PURPOSE:To obtain a fishing rod tip having uniform flexibility independent of the bending direction and having improved handleability, by using a carbon fiber as a sole reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:A carbon fiber 2 having a tensile modulus of 12,000-19,000kgf/ mm<2> and a tensile strength of >=250kgf/mm<2> is used as a reinforcing material. The objective fishing rod tip 1 having a flexural modulus of 5,000-10,000kgf/ mm<2> and flexural strength of >=70kg/mm<2> is produced by using the above reinforcing material at a volume ratio of 40-70% in combination with a matrix resin comprising a thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin and unsaturated polyester resin. The uneven flexibility of the tip dependent upon the direction of bending can be eliminated by this structure. A fish strike can be accurately recognized because of the light weight, high strength and high flexibility of the tip. A thin fishing line can be used to improve the angling rate.
