PURPOSE:To maintain planting intervals constant, by feeding selected seedlings to a conveyor when a planting disc is rotated at a given number. CONSTITUTION:Seedlings in paper tubes separated by a seedling separating roller 78 are separated from poor seedlings by a root supporting belt 65 and a leaf supporting belt 57 and transported. Then the seedlings are sent by upper belts 36 and 36'. When the seedlings are detected by seedling detecting sensors S and S' at the lower ends, transportation is temporarily stopped. When a counted value of a rotary counting machine 81 of planting disc set to a revolving shaft 15 of a planting disc 14 becomes a given value, an upper belt 80 is rotated, the seedlings are transferred to lower belts 26 and 26', further seedlings P are delivered to the planting disc 14 and planted. Consequently, planting intervals can be always controlled even if seedling intervals on the transporting belts are changed by the selection.
