摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the uniform homogeneous orientation of the titled pannel by providing with a nonorientating org. high polymer film composed of a material capable of nonorientating together with displaying a molecular orientation due to shearing stress by bringing the film into contact with a ferroelectric liquid crystal, on the titled pannel. CONSTITUTION:The nonorientating org. high polymer film is composed of the material capable of the nonorientating together while displaying the molecular orientation due to the shearing stress by bringing the film into contact with the ferroelectric liquid crystal. Said film is provided on the titled pannel. Said film has properties of effecting the molecular orientation due to the shearing stress, and of reduction and disappearing the molecular orientation by photoirradiation or thermal heating. Accordingly, the orientation of the org. high polymer film is reduced after uniformly orientating the injected liquid crystal whereby the adverse effect about the operation of the liquid crystal can be reduced.
