PURPOSE:To obtain the titled treating agent capable of forming films of outstanding transparency and heat resistance, suitable for treating glass sleeves, etc., by formulating a vinyl group-contg. organopolysiloxane, organohydrogen polysiloxane, etc. in respectively specified amounts. CONSTITUTION:The objective treating agent can be obtained by formulating (A) a vinyl group-contg. organopolysiloxane having in one molecule two or more vinyl groups directly bonded to the silicon atoms, (B) such an amount of an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having in one molecule two or more hydrogen atoms directly bonded to the silicon atoms that the number of said hydrogen atoms is >=0.5 per the vinyl groups in the component A, (C) 0.05-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the component A, of a reaction product formed by heating treatment of a mixture of C1: organopolysiloxane with a viscosity 10-10,000 centistockes, C2: cerium carbonate of formula I (R<1> is monovalent hydrocarbon; M<1> is cerium, etc.; n is 3-4), and C3: titanium or zirconium compound of formula II (R<2> is monovalent hydrocarbon; M<2> is titanium, etc.) or hydrolyzate therefrom, and (D) platinum (compound). |
