PURPOSE:To offer a sure and quick service by providing a network controller, a voice storage/reply device and a processor to an automatic attendant board placed between a general subscriber telephone set and a PBX so as to attain the connection and talking between the general subscriber and the PBX automatically without intervention of an operator. CONSTITUTION:When a general subscriber 30 dials a representative number of a PBX 20 to call an automatic attendant board 10, the subscriber 30 is connected to a 1st network controller 1 and the dialed number is detected. Then the network controller 1 states a processing unit 4 and sends a message stored in a voice storage/reply device 3 to the caller subscriber 30. The subscriber 30 inputs an extension number by a PB signal by a pushbutton. The extension number is outputted to a processor 4 after the end of reception, the processor 4 starts a 2nd network controller 2, sends the dial signal to the PBX 20 to connect a call to an extension subscriber 40. If the extension subscriber 40 is busy, the voice storage/reply device 3 stores the message.
