PURPOSE:Using an inexpensive metal such as stainless steel certainly obtain X-ray shielding effect and contrast effect, by forming an X-ray shielding layer on the entire periphery of the flexible tube for an endoscope consisting of a flex, the blade allowed to cover the flex and an outer skin resin applied to the blade. CONSTITUTION:A resin mixed with an X-ray contrast medium is allowed to cover the blade 13 covering a flex 14 as an outer skin 12. Since X-rays are shielded by the skin 12 in the body cavity inserting flexible tube 11 thus constituted, such as defect that a gap is generated in the flex when the insert part of the flexible tube is largely curved and X-rays penetrate in the flexible tube from said gap to damage the image guide fiber built in the flexible tube is eliminated. Further, the flex 14 may be formed by one-layer winding and, furthermore, since phosphor bronze is expensive, the flex can be formed by inexpensive stainless steel. |
