PURPOSE:To avoid a trouble at the time of system constitution by switching a control part in accordance with the action mode of a communication line. CONSTITUTION:When a line operation setting part 2 is instructed to be connected with a MODEM 40 at the time of the connection with the MODEM 40, the line operation setting part 2 instructs a line switching part 5 to connect a data control part 3 with a line, and the line switching part 5 connects the data control part 3 with the line. Consequently, the MODEM 40 and the data control part 3 are connected and data communication is attained. When the line operation setting part 2 is instructed to be connected with an automatic calling equipment 50, the line operation setting part 2 instructs the line switching part 5 to connect an automatic calling control part 4 with the line and the line switching part 5 connects the automatic calling control part 4 with the line. Consequently, the automatic calling equipment 50 and the automatic calling control part 4 are connected, and automatic calling equipment 50 can be used. Thus, the line of the same line adapter can be used for data communication as well as the control of the automatic calling equipment.
