PURPOSE:To contrive the reduction of cost and the enhancement in operating properties, by a method wherein a long knob part to be rotated by hand is exposed outside from a slot of a cassette case and a take-up core is held movably along the slot. CONSTITUTION:On the upper surface of an upper case 3, a slot 67 is formed in arc form. a hand knob 52 is exposed outside from the slot 67. The slot 67 is formed by a short edge (c) and an arc-form long edge (d) and the hand knob is made of a short edge (a) and a long edge (b) here the relations a<c, b>c, and d>c are held; thus, the hand knob 52 can nest into the slot 67 at a specific position. In this manner, the hand knob 52 can easily nest into the slot 67, and the span (b) is large enough to obtain high operating properties in the taking-up of a ribbon.
