PURPOSE:To load a record carrier correctly and surely by providing a pressing means to load the record carrier in a record carrier rotating driving member, and holding the action of the pressing means until the engaging action of a record carrier storage part is completed, and releasing the pressing action responding to the completion of the engaging action. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 3 is inserted in the storage part 20, and an outer cover 21 is closed, the storage part 20 is held to be in contact with the stopper part of a main body 10. In this state, the upper surface of a center hub 2 is pressed by the end tip 23a of a center hub pressing member 23, and the center hub 2 is forced to be pressed in a driving shaft 11. Next, when an engaging member 24 is shifted in a direction B, and its ratchet part 24a and the ratchet part 17a of the engaging ratchet 17 of the main body side are engaged, an inclined surface part 23b of the pressing member 23 is pressed upward, and the end tip 23a of the pressing member 23 is released from the contact with the center hub 2, and the pressing action is ceased. Thus, the record carrier 1 is exactly loaded in the rotary driving shaft 11, and the pressing member 23 never exercises an excess load on the rotary driving shaft 11.
