PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion between upper and lower layers constituting a photoreceptive layer by incorporating one or more among C, N and O into a layered region of the upper layer kept in contact with the lower layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptive member 100 is obtd. by forming a photoreceptive layer 102 consisting of a lower layer 103 and an upper layer 104 on an Al-based support 101. The layer 103 is made of an inorg. material contg. at least Al, Si and H and has a part contg. the atoms distributed ununiformly in the thickness direction. The layer 104 is made of an Si-based non-single crystalline material contg. H and/or halogen and contains one or more among C, N and O in a layered region kept in contact with the layer 103. The adhesion between the layers 103, 104 is improved, the occurrence of image defects and the peeling of the layer 104 are prevented and the durability of the member 100 is improved. |
