ANILINE/RESORCINOL/FORMALDEHYDE COCONDENSATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title cocondensate excellent in bonding strength at high temperatures and adhesiveness and strength when used continuously under high stress and high temperature conditions and desirable as a nontoxic adhesive for fibrous materials, by cocondensing resorcinol with aniline in an amount to give a specified molar ratio and formaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:0.8-2.5mol. of aniline per mol. of resorcinol is condensed with formaldehyde at 35 deg.C or below under basic conditions to obtain an aniline resol precondensate. This precondensate is reacted with 1mol. of resorcinol at 35 deg.C or below under acidic conditions and heated to 180-230 deg.C to obtain the title cocondensate.
