PURPOSE:To erase unnecessary images of punched holes, etc., existing in an original binding section, by providing a means which inhibits the copying operation of the 1st area of a 1st page of an original at the time of copying operation of the 1st page and, at the same time, inhibits the copying operation of the 2nd area of a 2nd page at the time of copying the 2nd page under a condition where an erasing mode is set. CONSTITUTION:At the time of surface copying an one surface original or both-surface original, a timer G for erasing the electric charge of the binding section B1 of an original image 01 and another timer H for erasing the electric charge of an area EX which is on the downstream side of the original image 01 in the rotating direction of a photosensitive drum are set. While the timer G operates, all of the LEDs of an erasing unit 4 are tuned on and the electric charges in the part B1 on the drum are removed. As a result, images in the binding section of the original are erased from the copying paper. When the 2nd page of a both-surface original is copied, a timer F for erasing the binding width section B2 of another original image 02 is set. After the set time of the timer F is completed, all of the LEDs of the erasing unit 4 are turned on and the electric charges in the part B2 and the area EX following the part B2 on the photosensitive drum are removed. |
