PURPOSE:To surely prevent casual moving of an original tray and the consequent dropping, breaking, etc., thereof by providing a means for preventing the movement of the original tray which prevents the movement of the original tray by operating cooperatively with a motion to erect a device body and a locking means for holding said preventive means. CONSTITUTION:A lever 26 for preventing the movement of the original tray oscillates around a shaft 27 cooperatively with the motion to incline and erect the device body A and a detaining pawl 26a of the lever 26 engages one of ratchet pawls 25a of a ratchet 25 when the device body is inclined and erected. A locking member 28 turns around a shaft pin 29 by gravity simultaneously therewith and a detaining hook 28a of the member 28 engages a detaining pin 26b of the lever 26. The ratchet 25 is, therefore, prevented from turning clockwise and a gear 24 for backward movement integral with said ratchet 25, a gear 23 for forward movement, a pinion 22 and a rack 21 fixed to the original tray engage successively with each other. The downward movement and falling of the original tray 1 are thereby prevented.
