PURPOSE:To enable a moving vehicle to approach a target position regardless of the change of the direction during straight running of the moving vehicle by monitoring the direction deflection of the vehicle body by a gyro device during straight running and steering and controlling the vehicle body to cancel the detected direction deflection at the time of detecting the direction deflection larger than a set value. CONSTITUTION:A gyro device 17 which detects the direction deflection of a moving vehicle A during straight running is provided on a moving vehicle A, and a running control means 101 is so constituted that the moving vehicle is steered to cancel the detected direction deflection if the gyro device 17 detects the direction deflection larger than the set value. Since the deviation of the direction of the vehicle body is automatically corrected though the direction of the vehicle body is deviated because of slip or the like during straight running, the positional deviation from the next target position is reduced as much as possible.
