PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for cutting a thick chocolate plate into a cylindrically rolled thin chocolate product in high efficiency, and furnished with a holder to hold the thick chocolate plate and with a slicer to reciprocate the plate in the direction of thickness. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus is furnished with a holder 10 to hold a relatively thick chocolate plate 1 and a slicer 20 to reciprocate the plate in the direction of the thickness. The slicer 20 is provided with a number of grooves 21 perpendicular to the direction of the reciprocal motion. A number of cutting edges 22 are retreatably put into the grooves from the upper face of the slicer 20. The edges 22 are protruded during the forwarding motion and is retreated in the backward motion.
