PURPOSE:To attain a storing medium shared for an on-line and an off-line by switching an on-line function and an off-line function according to the presence and the absence of externally supplying a power. CONSTITUTION:An IC card has both the functions of an on-line mode used by connecting to a terminal equipment and an on-line mode for executing the function such as an electronic portable calculator, a clock display individually. In order to switch these functions, the on or off of an external power supplied from the contact part of the terminal equipment is detected and used. Namely, when the external power is turned off, the off-line function is operated at the time of the on, if the power is not immediately turned off, the on-line function is operated. When the external power is turned on and immediately turned off thereafter, an error count is executed by considering it to be a noise or a mischief and when the number of counts exceeds three times, the off-line function is stopped. |
