PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilized GPO composition, by adding GPO and a flavin- containing substance to a buffer solution and freeze-drying the obtained aqueous composition. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous composition of pH 5-10 is produced by adding GPO (glycerophosphoric acid oxidase) and a flavin-containing substance such as vitamin B2, FAD (flavin adenine dinucleotide) or FMN (flavin adenine mononucleotide), preferably 1X10<-6>-1X10<-2> M of FAD. The composition is freeze-dried by conventional freeze-drying process to obtain the objective stabilized GPO composition.
