PURPOSE:To obtain a support for electrophoresis widely adaptable to serum of every kind, by using a microporous polymer film containing a wetting agent or plasticizer having water solubility of 5w/w% or more at ambient temp. in a ratio of 20% or less by wt. of the polymer of said film. CONSTITUTION:As a plasticizer or wetting agent, a substance having water solubility of 5w/w% or more at ambient temp. is used and contained in a range of about 1-20w/w% in order to impart flexibility. As useful examples, diols such as ethylene glycol or diethylene glycol, glycerol, triethylcitrate or the like are designated. As a polymer material constituting a microporous polymer film, cellulose ester such as nitrocellulose or acetylcellulose, a polyamide resin, a polyvinyl chloride or the like are used. The microporous film is formed by a method wherein the polymer material is dissolved in a solvent mixture consisting of a solvent and the plasticizer or wetting agent substantially uniformly to be cast and applied to a temporary support having a smooth surface and dried at controlled temp. to peel and remove the formed film from the temporary support. |
