In this sealed case for a portable video camera, one of the two elements of the case 1, namely the body 2 and the cover 3, includes, in its upper part, a compartment 17 provided with a wide opening 18 oriented towards the rear of the case; the case furthermore comprises a video monitor 21, which has a display screen 21a larger than that of the original video monitor of the video camera 5 and which is installed in the said compartment 17 behind the wide opening 18, as well as electrical connection means 46 for connecting the video monitor 21 of the case 1 to the video camera 5, in place of its original video monitor, when the said camera is installed in the case. <IMAGE>
