Means for monitoring the emergency exits by a safety device, in particular to its use with an anti-panic bar or a similar operating member, enabling, in the situation when an emergency exit is closed, to prevent the actuation of the bar or other operating system from causing the entrainment of the sliding bolts, but determining solely and exclusively the compression of a spring which, without preventing the actuation of the control lever, temporarily interrupts the transmission of the movement thus created, until the retention element, an electromagnet, stops acting by means of power interruption generated either by a fire detector or by another warning means or by the guarding station. At this moment, the release of the suitably calibrated spring will cause the sliding bolts to move aside and the door will be free to open. <IMAGE>
