PURPOSE:To simply and surely execute the video recording by applying prescribed channel selection processing and control processing at the video recording of broadcast. CONSTITUTION:In depressing a video recording switch in switches 9A-9N, a sub-pattern is displayed regardless of whether or not the sub-pattern is displayed and a video signal Vj recorded on the VTR 40 is displayed on the sub- pattern, then an object picture is confirmed and video recording is simply and surely attained. In depressing a video recording switch, the signal Vj is made coincident with the signal Vi displayed on a master pattern with the relation of channel selection control signal CHN2=CHN1, since the signal Vj is recorded on the VTR 40, in depressing the video recording switch, the picture displayed on the master pattern is recorded without fail and the object channel is surely and simply recorded.
