摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by fixing the polarity inversion reference potential of a video signal between the black and white levels of one polarity,and dividing the common electrode of a liquid crystal panel into rows and inputting polarity and brightness adjusting signals for the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing part 18 receives the video signal S-VIDEO, a horizontal synchronizing signal HD, and a vertical synchronizing signal VD from a signal source 1 and supplies a common-side data signal CD and a common-side clock signal CC to a common line driver 19. The polarity inversion reference potential of the video signal is fixed between the black and white levels of one polarity, the common electrode of an active matrix liquid crystal panel is divided by common lines of respective rows, and each common line is provided with a common line driver 19 which supplies signals corresponding to the polarity and brightness adjustment quantities of the video signal. Consequently, the power consumption of a video signal processing circuit is reduced and a dynamic range deficient is eliminated.
