DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING TILT ROLL

摘要

PURPOSE:To make a roll compact with a large crossing angle and to improve the quality by installing respective inside bearings in the stock inlet and outlet side parts of a roll and supporting the roll by a supporting shaft and also supporting the shaft by a yoke. CONSTITUTION:A roll 1 is supported by inside bearings 3, 4 through a supporting shaft 2 at the stock inlet side part of a yoke 5 and is supported by an outside bearing 9 at the stock outlet side part of the yoke 5 to ensure stable double-supporting. By a device of such construction, the large crossing angle of the roll 1 is obtained without interference between the yoke and stock and the quality of a pierced shell is improved.
