PURPOSE:To obtain a conveyance device which moves a body to be measured stably so that its attitude is not disordered even at an inspection and measure ment part by setting the movement track of an integrated conveyor base mate rial to constant length in front of and behind an inspecting and measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:Log A to be inspected and measured is mounted on the conveying device 2, which is driven to pass the log A Through the inspection and measurement part 6 of a shape inspecting and measuring instrument 1. At this time, a pair of a projector 7 and a photodetector 8 projects and receives a laser light beam so that the side body part of the log A is projected and the range where the projection is impeded by the log A is inspected and mea sured to inspect and measure the body size by an arithmetic unit. Then, the log A which is carried by the conveying device 2 is conveyed while lifted high by a support plate 28, and the device 2 also passes through the inspection and measurement part 6. Therefore, the log A does not swing and the projected laser light is projected covering the lumber A completely without any impedance.
