PURPOSE:To improve the joining quality, strength and workability by allowing to contain specific weight % Sr, Ti and Pd and adding prescribed % Ni as necessary to form insert material. CONSTITUTION:The dry etching is treated on the joining surface of material 1 to be joined made of Ti and Ti alloy and an oxide film of TiO2, etc., and impurities are removed to form the clean joining surface 2. Further, a metal alloy containing, by weight ratio, 5-40% Zr, 0-30% Ti and 0.1-2% Pd and including 5-15% Ni as necessary is prepared to form the insert material on the joining surface 2 by the deposition or sputtering. Next, the liquid-phase diffusion joining of the joining surface of Ti and the Ti alloy is performed. The joining surface 2 is cleaned and moreover, each component element reduces the joining temperature. Further, since an oxide of a joining part is completely removed, the joint quality, strength and workability are improved.
