Process for the production of a stamping tool

A process for the production of hot-stamping blocks is described, comprising the following working steps: placing of magnetisable shaped parts in the desired arrangement onto a baseplate made of steel, which is clamped onto a magnetic holding plate; placing of a frame around the baseplate; filling of the interspaces between the metallic shaped parts with a highly heat-resistant casting compound; removal from the magnetic holding plate for hardening of the casting compound and subsequent regrinding of the block surface.
