PURPOSE:To more increase the smoothness of a painting surface, by applying paint to an object to be painted in a thickness equal to or more than a running limit and, thereafter, gradually increasing the rotational speed of the object to be painted around the horizontal axis thereof to a predetermined rotational speed to rotate the same at said speed to dry the paint. CONSTITUTION:A body W after receiving the bottom coat due to electrodeposition painting is sent to a preparatory process P1 while held to a truck D and the dust inside and outside the body W is removed by air blow. Next, paint is sprayed to the body W in a painting process P2 so that a thickness of a paint film becomes one equal to or more than a running limit, for example, becomes 40mum or more in theremosetting paint. In the setting process 3 continuing to the process 2, the body W is rotated in a horizontal direction while reacted within an angle range of the max. 360 deg.. Further, in a baking process P4, the body W is rotated in the horizontal direction and baked at about 140 deg.C.
