PURPOSE:To enable inspection of the state of deterioration without affecting the operation of plant or the like, by arranging a spherical member to bring a part of the surface thereof to an opening formed on a structure body wall in a fluid system to rotate the member. CONSTITUTION:A spherical member 8 is arranged as supported rotatively on the internal surface of a hollow member 3. The member 8 is operated rotatively to a position at which a corrosion measuring point CGP is located inside an equipment body 1 through an opening 2 of a body wall 1A of equipment to be kept exposed to a fluid with the conditions thereof made the same as those of the body 1 at the measuring point CGP. With the reaching of an inspection timing, the member 8 is rotated by 180 deg.C by turning a stem 12 by 180 deg.C and the measuring point CGP is positioned to be at an opening of a body cap 6. Subsequently, a blind plate 5 is removed and the state of deterioration such as corrosion at the measuring point CGP is measured with a depth gauge. The member 8 turns closing the opening 2 normally in slide contact with seal members 9 and 10 on the internal surface of the member 3 to keep the fluid inside the body 1 from leaking outside through the opening 2. Thus, inspection of the state of deterioration can be executed without affecting the operation of a plant equipment.
