PURPOSE:To obtain a frequency distribution of a pulse width value at a high speed with limited memory capacitance, by increasing address contents specified by a utilizing a measuring output with a pulse width measuring circuit as address information. CONSTITUTION:A pulse width measuring circuit 1 starts the measurement of a pulse width by a command Ps of a timing control circuit 51 and after the end of the measurement, an end pulse Pe is generated while a measuring output Ni of the circuit is outputted to an address bus of a memory 3. Here, the circuit 51 generates a read/write signal R/W to access the memory 3 with a measuring output Mi as address information. The contents of address specified by the memory 3 are read out to a positive 1 computation circuit 52 and after one is added thereto, the results are stored into the same address. This process eliminates troublesome computation processing and enables the storing of cumulative frequency direct into the memory 3 with respect to each pulse value, thereby allowing the obtaining of a frequency distribution of a pulse width value at a high speed along with limited memory capacity. |
