PURPOSE:To provide a recording material having excellent stability against irradiation with light and enabling read-out in infrared region, by incorpoat a specific phthalid derivative as basic dye while incorpoat a metal complex compound and/or a metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid as a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:At least one type of phthalid derivative shown by formula (I) is incorpoated as a basic dye. In the formula, R1-R10 represent hydrogen atom; halogen atom; nitro group; alkyl group; cycloalkyl group; alkoxyl group; acyloxy group; allyl group; alalkyl group; phenoxy group; thioalkoxyl group; or amino group respectively and R11 represents a hydrogen atom or a low class alkyl group. R3 and R8 never represent amino groups simultaneously. a, b, c, d represent carbon atoms, where one or two of them may be nitrogen atoms. Coloring agent to be employed together is selected from metal complex compounds and/or aromatic carboxylic acid metal salts. |
