PURPOSE:To correct a residual mis-convergence without disturbing the magnetic field of self-convergence deflection yoke by providing a dynamic convergence correction means where four E-shaped magnetic cores at an interval of 90 deg., a coil is wound to each magnetic core and the cores are arranged to a position close to the self-convergence deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION:The E-shaped magnetic cores 12 are used and the four cores are provided radially on a face at a right angle to the tube axis and on a circle concentric to the tube axis at an interval of 90 deg. and various coils 14 are wound to each of them. Moreover, the self-convergence deflection yoke 4 is mounted to the outer periphery of a funnel part 2 of the neck 3 and the dynamic convergence correction means 5 is provided to the side of an electron gun of the self-convergence deflection yoke 4 and a correction magnet assembly 6 is mounted to the outer periphery of the neck 3. In giving a dynamic correction current of a prescribed quantity in a prescribed direction to each coil in response to a deflection synchronizing signal, four kinds of magnetic field distributions are caused. Thus, the dynamic convergence is corrected without giving adverse effect onto the deflection magnetic field of the self-convergence deflection yoke.
