PURPOSE:To efficiently convert turbine shaft output to electrical energy, by controlling the output of an AC machine connected to the rotary shaft of a turbine, to be approximated to the mechanical output of the turbine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust, gas turbo-generator 1 is driven by the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine 8, and generation power is fed to a battery 20 via a PWM controller 21 and a regulator 22. In the meantime, to a controller 14, the input of the boosting voltage of a suction pipe 9 from a boosting voltage sensor 13, the input of fuel flow rate from a flow rate sensor 17, the input of rotational frequency from a rotation sensor 18, and the input of the output of the turbo-generator from a power sensor 23 are provided. Then, command is applied to the PWM controller 21 so that the output of the turbo-generator may be approximated to the mechanical output of a turbine. As a result, an apparatus can be efficiently operated.
