Packagings, consisting of a packaging material blank made of cardboard or the like, for round containers, in particular cans, bottles and the like, for example beverage containers, are already known, for example a plurality of box-like packaging bodies being formed, which are fixed to one another by their transverse cardboard sides in order thus to form a transverse combination of two packaging bodies. Packagings of this type, however, are generally not sufficiently sturdy, which often leads to damage to and/or loss of the containers. In contrast, in the new packaging, an exceptionally good holding between individual packaging bodies is guaranteed, that is to say, for example, between the 6-packs 4 forming a 12-pack 7 or 9 on the one hand and between the 12-packs then forming a 24-pack 7 and 9, a first hoop 8 engaging around the transverse combinations 7 or 9, for example the 12-packs, as well as a second hoop 11 engaging around the transverse combinations 7 or 9 fixed to one another being secured against slipping off in relation to the height of the round containers to be packaged. An overall combination is thus formed which is sufficiently sturdy for transportation, but is sufficiently detachable for sales. <IMAGE>
