PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting material exhibiting superconductivity at a temperature above liquid nitrogen temperature, by using a superconducting material containing less than specific amount of Fe, Ni or Co. CONSTITUTION:The objective superconducting material is a material having superconducting characteristics and containing <=10ppm of Fe and Co. The material having superconductivity used as a base of the above material is composed of a ceramic of a compound consisting of copper, oxygen and one or more elements of the group IIa or IIIa of the periodic table. The superconducting material is e.g. a ceramic of formula (x is 0-1; y is 2.0-4.0; z is 1.0-4.0; w is 4.0-10.0; A is Y, Gd, Yb, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu, Sc or other lanthanoids; B is Ra, Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg or Be). |
